My profession is as an osteopathic physician. My passion is for healing, teaching, and giving hope and encouragement through the written and spoken word. My hope is that we may pursue this creative and wonderful journey of life with pleasant attitudes, healthy bodies, sharp minds, and joyful spirits.

I have always enjoyed writing and story telling. I have spent many years attempting to have a good reason to have a blog and further pursue my passion in writing.

Then I turned 30 and had a sudden change in my job, home, and family. After many years of a seemingly constant (and somewhat boring) existence of surviving school and training, my life turned upside down. What a perfect time to start a blog! I can chronicle this adventure for loved ones praying and hoping for us back home and for anyone needing encouragement in their own adventure! Now is the right time to do what I have felt so called to do. So, here we are with the Rook and the Rock.
